I think—while I wait in line. (Insert toe tap here.) We women do. We mull over business concepts, solve interpersonal issues, and contemplate stresses…all while we pass time. After all, we’ve learned to squeeze moments empty. Empty of joy. Empty of smudgy faces with wide smiles. Empty of opportunities. Not a drop gets wasted.
And that’s why we need to embrace the wait. Life is full of lines. Waiting in traffic, waiting at the grocery, and waiting at the women’s restroom—it’s also full of opportunity to have a conversation with others about the One who created us. OR. An opportunity to have a conversation with the One who created us. God welcomes our worries and concerns. He wants to hear about the stresses that stifle our peace and hold back joy. Anxieties that can paralyze us before we’ve taken our first sip of His goodness. Remember: His throne is always open and available. There’s no waiting. Stay “grounded” in Him today. If you find yourself in line, don’t waste it—Savor it!!!
